We've finished !!!! The final mile was completed by our special guest Huddersfield Giants and England rugby league star Eorl Crabtree who cycled down the Champs Elysees to cross the finish line under the Arc. Thank you to everyone who participated in the event and everyone who has supported us or made a donation to this worthwhile cause.

Zoe has just taken us onto the Champs-Elysees and we've parked up awaiting our special guest to complete the last mile to the Arc de Triomphe. Just one mile to go !!!!!

Tony Spencer and Zillah Campbell have joined us from Home-Start to assist with the final push. Tony and Zillah are volunteers providing support in situations as diverse as isolation, bereavement, multiple births, illness or disability. Tony & Zillah have travelled 5 miles on the bike.

Donna, Emma and Kym start the day with an hours ride between them adding another 18 miles to the total. In 5 miles we will be exiting the A1 for the final 6 mile push into Paris. We have currently covered 491 miles.

Excellent efforts by Andy, Jackie and Nicola R have added yet another 18 miles onto the total pushing us on to 473 miles. Just 29 miles to go. We are a massive 84 miles ahead of schedule. The original target was to finish by 6pm tonight, it looks like we will smash this and finish at the Arc de Triomphe around 11.30am

We are now back up to speed, combined efforts from Bob, Dennis, Kingsley and Russell have taken our current distance travelled up to 455 miles. Just 41 miles remaining on the A1 heading to Paris, and then the final few miles to get us to our destination - Arc de Triomphe.

437 miles covered. Bill, Mark and Pete have added another 18 miles getting us closer to the goal of 502 miles. Only 65 miles remaining.

Another 16 miles closer to our target. The day shift has taken over now and speeding the way to the centre of Paris. Current total is 418 miles.

A steady pace continues overnight, we have now reached four fifths of our target distance. Current distance travelled is 402 miles. Kingsley, Andy and Russell at the healm over the last hour.

Still (!) on the A26. Michelle, Kingsley and Andy have got us up to 377 miles. 125 miles to go !

Still on the A26 moving forward towards Paris. Kingsley, Michelle and Andy added another 17 miles on to the total distance. We have now travelled 364 miles towards the target of 502. Still ahead of target by 68 miles due to earlier efforts. The "night watch" is in full swing, although backing off the pace a little.

Currently we are still on the A26 heading towards Paris. Jeremy, Michelle and Russell have pushed forward to 347 miles.

Morning! We are currently in France on the A26 heading towards Arras-Est/Paris. Jeremy, Bill, Andy and Michelle have been pushing forward and have upped the total to 328 miles.

Bon Soir... We're in France. Bill crosses into the clear night sky at Frethun, 318.7 miles covered.

Currently crossing the channel - Bill, Jeremy, Stuart and Caroline have added another 19 miles to our total which at present stands at 309 miles. Another 10 miles and we'll be in France !

We're crossing the channel!. A convenient tunnel has been built so we don't get wet. Bill, Andy and Paul have now got us up to 290 miles.

Stuart, Bill and Paul have added another 24 miles to our total, we're now at 272 miles. Paul put in another fantastic 20 minutes covering 8.36 miles, Stuart adding a further 8.28 miles. We are nearing junction 11a on the M20 now heading to the train terminal ready to cross the channel. No luck for our intrepid riders though, we're not taking the train and the appropriate distance across the channel will have to be covered on the bike.

Whilst we're still on the M20 heading south, Paul has just smashed the record previously held for a short while by Bill, he managed 8.73 miles in in 20 minutes. Andy and Claire Livingstone contributed to the distance travelled increasing to 248 miles, 40 miles ahead of target.

3 miles from the M20 towards Dover / Maidstone. John, Bill and Claire Livingstone a Home-Start Trustee, have increased the distance travelled to 229 miles, 36 miles ahead of target.

Stop press ... Mark M's record of 7.28 miles has been beaten by Bill who clocked up 7.38 miles in 20 minutes.

Keeping up the pace - Paula, Lindsey and Dale have increased the accumulated milage to 206 miles - still 33 miles ahead of schedule. Paula was very close to beating Mark M's current 7.28 miles record clocking up a massive 7.26 miles in just 20 minutes!

Finally made it onto the M25 courtesy of Clare, Kerry and Becky who clocked up another 17 miles between them. Now we're heading towards the M20 which will take us down to Folkestone. Total distance is now 192 miles, currently 29 miles ahead of schedule.

Mick, Kym and Carolynne have pushed forward and increased the miles travelled to 175, now 27 miles ahead of schedule. We are currently heading towards Jn6a on the M1 exiting towards M1/M20 Dartford although we think traffic will be lighter in our virtual bike ride world !

Jackie had a brilliant attempt to knock Mark M off the "top distance cover in 20 minutes slot" covering 7.05 miles in 20 minutes. Mark's record still remains at 7.28 miles. Tracey and Clare also helped us to push forward to the current 158 miles distance covered, we are currently 25 miles ahead of schedule.

We're currently heading down the virtual M1 towards the M25 with 140 miles now covered, 22 miles ahead of target courtesy of Linda from Home Start, Kingsley and Donna.

Another hour gone and 18 miles covered. Efforts by Emma, Mick and Kerry have pushed us further ahead, now up to 122 miles against the target of 103.

Linda from Home Start has now completed 40 minutes of cycling towards the target and along with Caroline has pushed us along to 104 miles. We are currently 16 miles ahead of target.

Now up to 89 miles, still ahead of the target. Linda from Home Start has arrived to take the first of her 20 minute stints.

A competition is emerging with participants trying to beat each other to see how far they can go in their allotted 20 minute slot. Current leader is Mark M with 7.28 miles in 20 minutes. Current milage is 53 miles against a target of approximately 43 miles.

Currently ahead of target (28 miles) with just over 38 miles on the clock. At this rate we'll hit France ahead of schedule.
